POSITION:        Graphic Designer

DUTIES:               Be responsible for the creation of all marketing and printing material for the academy; work with web designers to develop and maintain academy’s website, review final layouts and suggest improvements as needed; use a wide range of media, including photography and computer aided software such as Photoshop & PageMaker to design academy brochures; create visual designs for displays of academy events and activities; participate in designing and development of art program; and keep abreast of developments in IT, particularly design programmers such as Illustrator, Acrobat, Director, Dreamweaver and Flash.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:     Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Graphic Design or Art, plus 5 years experience in Graphic Design or closely related field.

Learning Bee has been  a proud sponsor for the annual Happy Fish Run 4 Education event since 2006.   This is a collaborative effort in raising funds for after school curricula/activities for public schools in Fremont Unified School District.

1st Annual Palo Alto Midtown Summer Festival – August 19, 2006 (Palo Alto)

Learning Bee is a proud sponsor of the 1st Annual Palo Alto Midtown Summer Festival, which will be hosted in the Midtown area on August 19th from 10 AM – 5 PM. The event will feature kids’ activities, live music, and prize drawings. The Mayor of Palo Alto will present awards for the winner and runners-up of the T-shirt design contest at 3:30 PM outside of the Learning Bee facility. We are hosting our Fall 2006 Open House event at our Palo Alto campus at the same time – please come see us and sign up for our fall sessions! Please contact us for more information.

Masterpieces Showcased

Our talented little artists had their masterpieces showcased at the Fremont Main Library in September 2005. If you missed it, here’s another chance to admire their work.

2005 Fundraiser for Hurricane Katrina victims

Learning Bee encourages students to participate in community support efforts. We feel that such aid enables our children to learn lessons in humanity and the blessing of giving to those who desperately need support.

With Learning Bee matching the donations of students and their families, together we donated $1,400 in October 2005 to the American Red Cross. We appreciate all of you who have supported this worthy cause. Thank you.
