Welcome to Learning Bee

Dear Parents and Neighbors,

Happy New Year! May 2010 bring us all hope and faith in humanity and what the future holds for our children.

We are blessed with the opportunity to share another great year in 2009 with our staff, students and supportive community here in Fremont, California. We greatly appreciate the continue support and growth offered by our community and mostly, families who embrace the reality of challenges lie ahead in our frail economy which deeply impact our local school system. No child should be deprive of their fundamental rights to learn and excel in life and we, as a contributing member of our society, will continue to strive for better opportunities for our future generations.

In December 2009, we successfully published our very first publication "Big Dreams, Little Bees". This is our grassroots effort in promoting literacy, art and philanthropy in young children. All contents of this book were original, unedited work done by our students. We couldn't be more proud of our "bees" in this hives! Net proceed from the sales of this book is being donated to a worthy local, non-profit organization in our community. For this first publication, the donation is going to Children Hospital & Research Center Foundation based in Oakland, California. You can read more about this organization at www.chofoundation.org as well. Dozens of this publication have also be dropped off at local public libraries and FUSD libraries.

All in all, we welcome 2010 with open minds and arms! We are excited with all the new initiatives we've set out to accomplish this year. More exciting, innovative curricular and enriching activities will be offered to our community as well. And more collaborating opportunities and events will be brought to you by Learning Bee and other like-minded local businesses and non-profit organizations to benefit all the young minds out here in Fremont.

No dream is ever too big for the little ones! Let's all celebrate life with optimism and faith.
