Daily Rate: $48 Cancellation Charge: $10/day (after 11/5) Service is subjected to cancellation should we have less than 20 students enrolled for any particular day by deadline on 11/5. Siblings of current students (Grade: K - 6th) are welcome to join us on these Full Day programs. Please include student full name and enrollment date on check payment. Our monthly chess tournament is opened to all Learning Bee students and the general public. Spread the words for us and bring your friends, siblings and neighbors to next tournament

Last Call for Recruitment: 1st Learning Bee Chess Team

Attention:
For any parents and students who have questions or interest in joining our chess team, please attend the Parent Meeting with Coach Steve this Friday, October 29, at 5:45pm at LearningBee.

Learning Bee & U.S. Chess Mates are joining hands to form our first Chess Team in Fall 2010 in continuing our effort to promote sportsmanship and strategic thinking in young children through the game of chess.
We will have a maximium of 12 students this year divided in 2 teams of 6. Each team member will be paired with their teammates based on current chess ability and age. Students will be placed into group of 6 for private instruction, practice games and play. Teams will travel to tournament as a group and will compete as a group in an array of tournments throughout the year.
Tournaments could include: Swiss, Blitz, Quads, Simultaneous and Round Robin.
A series of 21 classes will be mandated for all confirmed team members starting November 6, 2010.
Class Dates: (Tentatively Scheduled: Saturday, 9 - 11am) November 6, 20 December 4, 18 January 8, 22 February 5, 19 March 5, 19 April 2, 16, 30 May 14, 28 June 11, 25
July 9, 23 August 6, 20 Members of Chess Team will receive:- Weekly homework packets and practice sheets
- 42 hours of advanced chess instruction
- U.S. Chess Federation Rating & Personal#
- Cal Chess Membership
- Entry into 2011 California State Championship
- Chess Team T-Shirt
- State Championship T-Shirt
- 10 U.S. Chess Mates Chess Tournaments at discounted rate
